Yesterday the audience in Yerevan had an opportunity to listen to Kissin’s fairy tale-like performances. The noise of photo and video cameras in the beginning of the concert probably frustrated the delicate musician, who went backstage after his first performance and stayed there until the organizers would tell the photojournalists and cameramen to leave the hall.
It should be mentioned that more than 100 people were enjoying the concert on stage since it was impossible to find even a stair to sit on at the National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet.
Kissin returned to the stage, and this time the world famous pianist gave a fairy tale-like performance in absolute silence.
Throughout the evening, the pianist performed the works of Beethoven, Prokofiev, Chopin and Liszt.
Armenians not only appreciate Kissin for his talent, mastery and wonderful performances, but also love him as a friend of the Armenian people. Kissin has assured that he will visit Armenia as long as he is breathing. In fact, the pianist is in Yerevan with his wife, Karine Arzumanova, who is half-Armenian. Kissin’s mother is also an Armenian.
